Chances to transfer to Cornell school of Hotel Administration!

Hey Guys,

I am a freshman at Emory University and is considering 2014 Spring Transferring to Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Hope to hear some good advice from you.
I am international and I come from China. I took high school in China so GPA didn't really apply there but my academic record in high school was really good. I also applied for Cornell before but was reject.:( I think it was because I did not have a high SAT score ( 2100). I also have SAT 2 scores. I don't have AP scores.
Right now, after my first semester of college, I have a GPA of 4.0 and I hope this could prove my academic ability somehow. I am on the pre-business major track and Educational Studies minor track. But I feel that I still have less passion in business. And I think School of Hotel Administration may suits more for me. ( I mean I love Emory but it does not offer this kind of major interest.) I am not sure if I would work in Hotel Industry if I got accepted to Cornell and graduated. I might run my own business or do banking or finance, real estate. The extracurricular activities that I mainly did was volunteering, Drama ( Directing and Acting), working at an educational organization (Tutoring, Teaching Assisting). My parent are both in Tourist Industry. My mum also runs the educational organization.
Below is my resume:

Chance me please! I also want to know what kind of experience I could have with hotel management. It is kind of impossible for me to intern now but I would do it during this summer. I am also planning on a campus visit this Spring Break or during summer. Hope some earnest advice! Thank you.

Hoping for advice:)

Really wants advice. Anxious! :)

Hi I applied to SHA for fall 2013 transfer and still waiting for the decision.

You seem like a very good student but when applying to the hotel school, you really really need to emphasize your love for the hospitality industry even if you think you want to do some other type of business.
I visited the hotel school and observed a few classes. what I can say is that their curriculum is heavily hotel industry oriented. so you should really think about if you could commit yourself to this type of business (it’s really awesome in my opinion) as SHA admission will want to see that you are the right fit before they accept you.

I hope this helps and let me know if you need more advice!
