Really just wanted to make a quick post to get some opinions after just having submitted all my application materials…
Graduated from high school last year with a 2.2 GPA - was in a few honors classes and 1 AP if that means anything but my GPA was trash regardless
Currently attending Suffolk University as a bio major - finished first semester with a 3.6 and joined a club as well (National Biological Honors Society)… Umass states that most successful transfer students have at least a 2.7
Most CommonApp schools require a mid-second semester report to evaluate progress in classes which the student is currently enrolled in - got mine filled out with 2 A’s, 2 B+, and a C+ (in bio, oops)
Umass doesn’t require recommendations for transfers but I already had 2 filled out for another school I’m applying to so I submitted those as well
1060 on new SAT which I took back in October 2016… really didn’t want to retake it…
I think I’ve improved a decent amount now that I’m in college but still concerned about my past performance… I know high school is less relevant as you enter college but it hasn’t even been a year since I graduated so I don’t know how they’ll look at it… what do you guys think?
Thanks so much for your time
