Essay: Really good; I worked on it for four months and it is really creative and fun.
Counselor Rec: Amazing; my counselor is awesome and his letter was a really good reflection of who I am.
Teacher Recs: I only read one and it was really good. It was about how I have improved in her class because she has been my teacher for three years of high school. Also, she knows me through service so it was great. The second, I don't know, but I am sure it is good.
Interviews: Of the interviews I have had so far, they have gone very well. No pauses, rare usage of the word "like".

Schools:
Emory
Vanderbilt
Columbia (reach, I know, but one of my additional Recs is from an alum and I have legacy[my sister] there)
American

I already got into two schools so I don't need any safeties.

Thanks! I will chance you back and I will be eternally grateful.

Emory-good
Vanderbilt-good
Columbia (reach, I know, but one of my additional Recs is from an alum and I have legacy[my sister] there)-hard

USE IT! Show the empathy u have. Show the lessons you learned. Show that you have gained life experience from this and how this will make u a great addition to all of the colleges. It will greatly boost your chances

Emory-high match-low reach
Vanderbilt-high match-low reach
Columbia reach
American-IN
William and Mary-match
U of Chicago-high match/very low reach-depends on your essay
Boston College-match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/609867-completely-organized-chancing-thread-you-usc-will-def-chance-back.html

BC, Emory, UChicago, WM,and Vanerbilt are all slight reaches/high matches. You have strong chances at American though. I think it will depend a lot on essays. Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/johns-hopkins-university/601870-i-know-chance-threads-can-get-annoying-but.html

BUMP!

I'm also a legacy at William and Mary so that may help. My brother is a junior there and he was admitted OOS.

great chance at all except columbia(reach- 30%)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/614412-chance-wharton-reject.html

bumpity bump

Emory - High Match
Vanderbilt - high match
Columbia - high reach (that lack of any really good honors will hurt you a lot here)
American - In
William and Mary - low match
U of Chicago - You need the best essays you can get for a high match
Boston College - low match

I am a senior at William and Mary. I definitely think you will be accepted.

Great test scores. Strong curriculum. Interesting EC's. Brother is a student at William and Mary.

Great job! Best of luck.

thanks for the input

Will it help me for Columbia that I have two letters of recommendation (1 teacher rec and 1 additional rec) written by alumni?

Thanks for the input! :)

Any More? I swear, I chance back every time.

From what I've heard (my doctor was on the Columbia committee), Columbia looks at alumni recommendations primarily for early applicants. However, this information is possibly a bit out of date, and I'm sure a recommendation from an alum carries a bit more weight in the eyes of someone reading your application.

Thanks for chancing me! Most of the schools listed should be around high matches. Legacies should definitely help some and I think the only one that might be a low reach is Columbia. Good luck!

Thanks!

I just found out that I got into Vanderbilt ED I so I am going there. Thanks for the input!

Emory - not sure
Vanderbilt - match
Columbia - high match
American - match
William and Mary - idk, they accept a lot of in state though
U of Chicago - idk
Boston College - match
