Chances UVA

I’m currently in my sophomore year at a school in Northern Virginia. I would just like some feedback regarding if I should realistically be thinking about UVA. Also my dad went to UVA and actively contributes to the school every year. And if it helps, this year as a sophomore I scored a 1620 on the PSAT.

Freshman Year
English 9 HN: A
World History HN: A
Health/ PE: A
German 2: B+
Biology HN: A-
Marketing 1: A
Geometry: B+

Sophomore Year:
AP Wold History: A-
German 3: A-
Algebra 2 HN: B
Marketing 2: A
Chemistry HN: A-
English 10 HN: A
Health/ PE: A

Also, Junior year I plan on taking: APUSH, AP Physics, AP Lang, Pre-Calc HN, German 4, and Leadership. It would be helpful to know if I should take these classes to get in (also mentioning other classes to take to possibly increase my chances besides the ones listed above would be helpful).

EC’s:
Football (lettered as a sophomore)
Key Club
Marketing Club (DECA)
Leadership Program (coordinates school wide events, and is also a class)
Rec Basketball League
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

Yeah your junior year courseload looks good. try to get a 2100 on the SAT and you will have a good shot. Is german honors a possibility? I took mostly but not all honors/ap at my school junior year and I regret not taking all honors/ap. If you can handle it go for it. Maybe add an AP elective for a GPA booster also?

Your grades look pretty good. I would shoot for all A’s junior year, it will bring up your gpa and show an upward trend. I always recommend trying both the SAT and the ACT because I studied for the SAT and not the ACT and scored the equivalent of 250+ points better on the ACT! Having a cool language like German is good. Just make sure you make your essays as unique as possible. Good luck!
