Hi. I am going to be a senior in high school and I am worried about my chances of getting into UF. I will be applying early action.

ethnicity: Hispanic

GPA: 3.8 (unweighted)/ 4.0 (weighted)

SAT:1610/2400
1100/1600

Class Rank: top 6%

I played basketball and softball my freshman and sophomore year. I played volleyball all 3 years of high school and will be playing my senior year. I did 11hrs of volunteer work. (i know it isn't a lot) I live in NJ.

If you were instate, I’d say that you have an excellent chance. OOS is much tougher and UF only has about 3% OOS students.

UF does not have Early Action. They have an earlier application deadline, that’s all.

There is a bit of a gap between your grades/class standing and your SAT. You have a shot if you are instate, but UF admission decisions are always unpredictable.

Sorry man, since your OOS chances are low. There are many other good universities in your area though.

If you want UF you need to do some of the following: get your sat up a couple hundred points, try to get your gpa up a little more(if not thats okay, just dont let it fall), try to join some academic clubs(honor societies) and maybe get some extra volunnteer hours.

To be honest im not sure how much vol hours actually counts for the final decision… Does anyone know that? All i know is alot of florida kids got like 80+ at least bc of bright futures.

what ap classes have you taken and what score have you gotten
