Recommendations: I should have VERY good recommendations from counselors and teachers.

I just want to get a feel for where I stand.

While your ACT is on the low side, everything else looks pretty strong. Given all the factors such as African-American, strong AP schedule, perfect grades, etc. I would think you should be accepted, assuming there are no red flags we cannot see. Show strong interest in your essay and visit campus if possible. Certainly at least go to a local event. Where are you from?

I don’t plan on retaking the ACT. I got a 26 the first time I took it, then a 27 the next time, and finally a 29. I’ve visited campus twice and loved it. I live in Illinois.

hey, voltaire. why the hate? Maybe he’s creating his reach, target and safety list…I know you might find this wierd, but sometimes, people actually pick schools they like for reasons like programs, location, or simply the campus – things that have nothing to do with thinking you can “do better.” plus, did you consider maybe Tulane is among his list of top choices – perhaps OP is trying to find out who might award merit money …

Curious, where it states that Tulane requires/recommends SAT II’s?

To the OP: the ten or so students that I know attending as freshman this year had between 28-30 ACT and nowhere near your GPA; and they are overwhelmingly not URM

^^jym: there are schools on that list that have been test optional for years and others that didn’t required SAT II’s back as far as 2007. How old is that?
