Chances?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could offer some input as to my chances of being accepted to Fordham EA this year for fall 2012. (I'm a current high school senior)

My weighted GPA is 3.7
My unweighted GPA is 3.45

I got a 2140 on the SATs
for the SAT IIs I got a 760 on Literature and 650 on Math 1

I also had a serious extenuating medical circumstance for the first 2.5 years of high school, which impacted my grades. There is definitely a marked improvement in my grades between when I was dealing with these issues and after. Additionally, I may mention them on my application, and they come up to a certain extent in my essay.

Fordham has been sending me regular emails, and they did offer me the chance to use the 'Your Choice' application. I will probably apply as an undecided major.

I feel like I have a pretty good chance of getting in, but what are your thoughts? Do you think I would be eligible for financial aid, as well?

I think your GPA is low according to their recent class profile. They are looking for 3.7 I think your SAT is above their average so you should be good there.

IF there were circumstances that impacted your grades they should know. Applying EA may be tough for you as they’ll probably want to see your senior year grades.

I thought I read somewhere (maybe on this forum) that the 3.7 at Fordham is a weighted GPA. Plus your SATs are definitely above the average for Fordham.
