i'd say a good chance

Michael - As I said for the OP, I wouldn't try to tack a percentage on it, but I think you have a better than even chance at admission.

Again, sorry to jack, but I'm instate. I also have a pretty bad classrank, 18% ish. How does it look now?

Michael - I still think it's worth it for you to apply. What part of the commonwealth are you from?

Southwest Va

SW VA may help. My experience with UVA has been that only the top, top students from SW VA make it (i.e. not top 10%, but top 10). However, I'm not sure about W&M as I ultimately attended as a transfer (2003) but was accepted as a freshman also (2000).

Regardless, with the exception of the class rank issue, your numbers are still worthy for an in-state applicant.

Where did you decide to attend first, and what did you major in. also, are grad level courses offered, I know it is undergrad only, but I will have 40 some odd credits and I would like to take some grad courses while im an undergrad.

UVA, left after 3 semesters so no major there

There are graduate programs at the College, but I'm not familiar with their policies in regard to undergrads taking graduate courses.

just to let you know michaelburt,

you can make a new thread if you want to.

haha, you can have yours back, sorry.

it's ok i just thought you didn't know that you could make new threads. :)

well, i decided not to apply anymore i think.

i'm going to apply to scripps instead.
