Chances?

White male, Catholic, from public, suburban high school in CT (bad reputation, not very good overall)
SAT I: 1990 (610 M, 710 V, 670 W)
SAT II: 630 US Hist., 610 Math II
GPA: 3.93 (7th in class-top 2.5% or so)
EC's: debate, literary (magazine), interact (rotary-student of the month for Oct. '05), baseball all 4 years
Hooks: none really, except both parents didn't attend college (not even sure if this is a hook)
Legacy: obviously not
Essay: I think it is good, and so did those who read it
Recs: one of my strongest aspects (one great one, one absolutely phenomenal one)
Notes: The Essay and Recs must've been good because I got into BC EA ahead of some kids with higher SATs and GPAs

Thanks in advance for your honesty.

I'd say your chances are good, especially if you got into BC EA. They were extremely competitive this year. I was deferred, but got into ND. But yeah, I don't know if you can take the SAT over, but if you were in the 1400's I would say your chances are extremely positive.

The fact that you will be the first to go to college really helps. The SAT is a little weak, but not horribly so. Retake it if you have time. I think you have an awesome shot if you can break 1400. Even without a retake, you still have a good chance in my opinion. Good luck!

Alright, thanks for the tips and support.

I will really consider re-taking because I believe my Math can be increased.
