Chances?

Well, I have no idea where I really stand, or what I should consider safety schools.

SAT I (730/750/730)

SAT II - Math II (760) - Physics (740) - Bio E (690)

GPA 3.54 UW 4.22 W

Class Rank (like 50/250)

White, Male

Intended Major: Comp Sci/Math

EC

Very active in band (going to submit art suppliments)

placed 7th in state at a math competition

science olympiad

At this point it dosen't look too terrible, BUT

I got a D in physics, and in english last semester

I decided to jump from precalc to multivariable because I am an idiot, and I will get a C in that this semester.

I was also suspended for several weeks at the beginning of freshman year for inappropriate language (Discussing cannibalism as a viable solution for eliminating hunger etc., it wasn't serious of course, but one of my peers was disturbed.)

[As far as community service goes, other than tutoring, I have done basically nothing. I imagine I don't want to mention the mandatory stuff related to the above incident.]

I am graduating a year early and will have 1.5x the credits that most seniors have at graduation. (I have taken a lot of classes, and had the county make an exception to allow me to skip 11th)

Also asked my teachers for rec's right before break, so that might hurt. I am positive that my math and band recommendations are both going to be exceptionable, although I am concerned about them being able to complete it on time.

I am applying to

MIT
Caltech
Georgia Tech
RIT
RPI
WPI
Duke
NC State
Princeton
Cornell

I also don't really know how to go about writing essays about this stuff..

I am aware that MIT is a pretty far reach, but I am not sure if Georgia Tech or RPI are safe enough or if I should try for something a bit less selective.

Also my AP scores if they help anyone are Psych (4) APES (5) World (3)

MIT: Reach
Caltech: Reach
GA Tech: Match
Princeton: Reach
Cornell: Reach
NCSU: Low match/Match
Duke: Reach
RIT: Safety
RPI: Low match
WPI: Safety
