Hi everyone,
I am planning to apply to NYU in the fall, but I don't think my test scores are where they need to be. My weighted gpa is a 4.18, unweighted 3.80 (both should go up at the end of May). ACT is 25 (retaking in June) and I'm not planning on turning in my SAT scores because they are just awful. Can someone tell me if I have a chance of getting in?

The average ACT score is about 30… so take from that what you will. It is important to keep in mind that there are several factors that come into play when you apply to a school like NYU. They don’t just look at your SAT and GPA then decide. They try to understand who you are as a person by looking at what you do outside of the classroom. Your essays also play a major role in the admissions process. Study for the ACT and take practice tests; try to improve your score.
