<p>I have a 3.85 unweighted GPA and a 4.3 Weighted. I do piano and volunteer work but thats about all the EC I have. I took the ACT and I got a 24 but I plan on retaking it. I know I don't seem like a likely candidate, but do you think I have any hope? Also I'm a junior in high school right now.</p>
<p>You’ll definitely need to score higher on the ACT for NYU. Try the SAT too maybe? You should raise it for Syracuse as well, but a 24 isn’t completely impossible to get in with as long as the rest of your app is great. You’re still on the lower end though.</p>

<p>I would shoot for 29 for NYU as the lowest. Have your tried the SAT? or SAT2’s?</p>
