Chances?

I graduated this last May from high school, but am taking a year off to live in Spain, so I'm applying for colleges this year. The University of Notre Dame, UT austin & Carnegie Mellon are among my top picks, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to get in. I am a girl and would like to pursue mechanical engineering.

I have a 30 ACT, 4.322 GPA, and am ranked 8th out of 241 in my class. I also have a ton of extracurriculars, but I'm not sure if this would be enough.

I also would love any information about scholarships or financial aid that the schools provides because there's nooo way I'd be able to afford it without any.

Thanks for any help!

Your ACT is a bit weak for these engineering schools although being a girl help a little bit. Also, you are not likely to receive merit scholarships, so check your cost with NPC at their websites.

ACT is little low.
