Any thoughts about admission and aid to?

so...you would be applying to tisch?

If you don't like the campus, NYU is not for you. There isn't really any room for leeway with that since NYU's "campus" is so vastly different from a traditional college campus.

That being said, your activities are good, but keep in mind that everyone who applied for a performing arts major generally has a lot of the same ECs. GPA and SAT are on the low side, but probably could be made up for if your audition is tremendous. NYU likes to make sure that it's arts students can handle doing both their craft and their schoolwork though, so it's hard to say. Also, when you list your "work experience," no matter where you're applying, you're going to want to put something other than "professional actress in Louisiana," because that doesn't really say what you've done at all.

Just my two cents worth. Good luck wherever you end up applying though. And should it be NYU, please do seriously consider the issue you have with the campus before deciding to attend. I've heard of lots of people regretting because they felt they needed a traditional college experience and NYU didn't fulfill their expectations of that.

(Oh yeah, and pretty much EVERY drama applicant for NYU goes for CAP21 for MT. And just about every kid who gets into NYU for drama at all is very talented, so to get into the uber-competitive CAP21, you have to be like, stellar. Just a heads up.)

thanks for the input.
