chances?

I applied to all UC’s except Meced and Santa Cruz for biology, my scores are all low since I wasn’t really focusing on them due to applications and the overload of work from school but I have a high GPA of 4.00 unweighted with honors and APs.
Scores: 29 ACT
600 SAT Math 2
610 Biology
My subject tests are literally the first time I took them, when my focus isn’t primarily on testing

So what are your UC GPA’s: Unweighted, capped weighted and fully weighted?

Your SAT subject tests will not help your chances.

EC’s ? How would you rate your essays?

I see no safety so did you apply to any Cal states? ELC eligible?

Hi, thanks for replying. I have 4.00 unweighted and 4.25 weighted and capped. I’ve been an active member for Key Club for all years doing volunteer work with hours probably over 250. I have worked up to an officer position during my junior year. For my essays, I would give it a solid 8 out of 10. I didn’t apply to any Cal States and my “safety” is just my local community college as I hope to transfer out after 2 years. As for ELC eligibility, I’m not 100% sure but I think I am eligible for it.

Your GPA is very competitive but your test scores will impact your chances a bit, luckily the UC’s tend to be very GPA focused.

Since Biology is impacted at the majority of the UC’s, you will be facing some stiff competition.

UCR: Low Target-Target
UCD: Target-High Target
UCI: Target-High Target
UCSB: High Target

UCSD: Low Reach
UCB/UCLA: Reach

Your SAT subject test scores will do not do you any favors in helping your chances.

Everything will depend upon how your overall application is viewed.

Being ELC at your HS, would put UC Merced as a safety if you are not accepted into your choice UC.

Best of luck
