plz excuse my spelling

"retaking in october" with that, You have good chance.

Well, I am going out on a limb here.

I am a Lehigh alum. We go back every year for football games, reunions, etc. I give a moderate amount as an alum. ( I contribute with every drive, but I do not give thousands of dollars.)

My daughter applied last year. Stats: Weighted avg: 4.6, unweighted, 3.7. Rank 28 out of 375.
3 varsity sports since 9th grade, national honor society, for.lang. hs. bus.hs.
science hs., leaders club, etc, etc. She has visited the school numerous time, since we go to Lehigh-Lafayette almost every year.

SATS: the big determinant: while her average in AP classes, etc was well above average, her SAT's were not. Mid 1200's.

Result: Waitlisted.

So, am I a bit cynical, yes! My nephew, who did not belong to National Honor Society, did not play varsity sports, yet did receive my rec, was accepted.

Male-Female differences definitely have a role.. NYTimes had an article detailing how so many females are being rejected or waitlisted at colleges they would normally have gotten into several years ago.

I am also cynical in a sense, because I feel that income may play a role in admissions. Correct me if I am wrong.

As a middle income student from Long Island, would a student who needed no financial aid be preferred?

good luck to all applicants--Lehigh is an amazing school--As an alumni,my pride is so strong--just wish I could afford to send my own kids to it!

funk - definitely retake the SAT's, and if possible the ACT's. Not sure what you plan to major in but your math seems a little on the low side.
