Yeah so I applied to LSA- app complete on 11/14
I was going to apply to Art & Design but decided LSA would be better for first year- most likely will transfer
Im getting really nervous several friends have been accepted
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

I have a friend who completed app in late sept, 3.7 UM, 31 ACT - deferred.

I was also deferred (in early/mid nov, complete app late sept / early oct) with a 3.6 UM, 32 ACT, and good ECs....though I was just accepted last Friday

Especially since you applied so late, I'd say it's not a guarentee you'll get in...I wouldn't be surprised at all if you were deferred. But I'd still consider UMich a match, just a bit on the lower side

I'd say Michigan is a match/slight reach. You obviously took tough classes and did well on your AP exams, so that will definitely help. Your ACT is right around the mean and your GPA is lower than average, so that will hurt you a little.

Haha well I was starting to get reassured... but thanks for the feedback, I def. needed it. Do you think that I would have an easier time getting into A&D w/my stats (vs. LSA), especially since I have a strong art background? It was a really tough choice.... :/ hope I made the right one

You should apply to the college you intend to get your degree from. If you want to major in A&D, then apply there. If you wish to major in Bio, Chem, Econ or History, then apply to LSA.
