Chances?

White male, public high school in Michigan. I'm a junior right now.

GPA: 3.0 unweighted, 3.3 weighted
Rank: I don't think my school ranks
PSAT: 168, or 79th percentile
PACT: 26
I take the real ACT and SAT next month I think.

My GPA is so low because I got a 2.5 freshman year and it is not east to bring it up when you do that bad to start high school. I'm going for a 4.0 this semester and I've got it so far.

EC's:
Humane Society
Involved with church
Band/Drumline
Lacrosse
There's a couple more that I can't remember right now

Schools:
Grand Valley State
Dayton
DePaul
Marquette
And just for fun, Syracuse and UNC

If you keep your grades up that high I think that you have a shot at Syracuse. UNC will be very hard OOS.

Why not try UMich Instate?

The others you're on target for.

I am somewhat considering U of M. It's just that everybody in my family has gone to Michigan State so im pretty sure that they would disown me if i went there. And I don't really like the campus anyway so I probably won't go there even if my family is ok with it. I know that UNC is a big reach, but I'm working extremely hard in lacrosse so that I can hopefully play lacrosse there, and I think that would be a big boost in admissions. In case that doesn't work out though, does anyone know how hard it is to transfer into UNC?

anyone else?

bump.......................

yeah
if u keep grades up
u might be on track for syracuse

as for depaul
u should have a great shot

i dont know much about the other schools

Depending upon your major and the classes you have taken, you should be okay for UDayton. Their ACT average is about a 25, and a B student has a pretty good chance. I think they have a good club lacrosse team too.

Good luck!
