I wasn't considering applying to UChicago until recently when somebody suggested it, so I don't really know the typical range of applicants. Is it more of a reach or a match for me?

Bump. Anybody willing to help me out?

Match (although not a sure thing).

Please don't work yourself into the ground senior year. All the college stuff takes about as much time as an extra course, and you have too many already. IMO, you could ditch the self studies: you need a rigorous curriculum, not a masochistic one. It is really difficult to produce excellent applications if you are exhausted and short on sleep.

Anyway, congrats on your accomplishments thus far - some college will be very lucky to get you!

Your URM status plus your strong SAT scores and academic performance and your heavy involvement in Model UN are definite highlights to your profile.

I read somewhere that Chicago ignores the SAT W score, so try to bump up math a little bit if you can. No big deal though-- you got a 710 on the IIC, which is a more involved test.

Again, yeah, if you're going to do anything, have fun in a thoughtful way. If you're right for Chicago, you're probably doing that already. If I were you, I would research the school a bit, figure out what you do and don't like about it, and when the uncommon essay questions go up for this year, take a good look at them or come up with a question your own.

Good luck!
