Well, the SAT score might keep you out; if you split the 1690 evenly you'd be at about an 1120 which is well below the average score.. other than that, everything looks solid. URM might help; good luck!

well i apply to 17 colleges, which i guess i alot, BC BU NYU Dartmouth Northeastern, Penn State(which i got in already), 4 SUNY's (and i got into ALbany and University of Buffalo), Villanova, Umass Amherst, Fairfield, Uchicago, George Washingotn University, American University and DUKE.

Yikes - 17! You have more energy than I ever did. Congrats on your admits in hand - Penn State is a wonderful school. One of the Vals from my son's HS is there now, and is enjoying it tremendously (he turned down P'ton for a big ole merit scholarship at Penn State). You should have very good options this fall. I am guess that UChicago is a bit of a longshot for you, but its hard to tell without seeing your essays and your recs. I think that GWU and American are good prospects, and that, with their location, would be enjoyable for you to attend.

You are most welcome. Please let me know what college is lucky enough to get you when YOU decide in April. You are clearly a very motivated young man. I can't predict your college, but I don't think I am going out on a limb by predicting a bright and interesting future for you.
