could someone please tell me if i have a chance?
white, out of state female student
GPA: 3.3 unweighted
NMSQT semi-finalist (PSAT: 228)
i'm taking the sat's in two weeks, but it will probably be around my psat score.
writing: 800, reading: 770, math: 710
AP's: government, macro/micro economic, world history, english language & comp, environmental science (plus more i plan to take next year)
EC's: habitat for humanity, amnesty international, NAHS, german club, 10 years of piano lessons, varsity indoor and outdoor track
class rank: with a 3.3 gpa, i will most likely be in the bottom 50% of my class. it's sad, but my school is ridiculous.
My school is very challenging and i'm worried that my low class rank and gpa will hurt my chances of being accepted. what are my chances for fordham admissions?

match, around a 70% chance for you do to your high test scores, although your low GPA could be a problem, an even bigger problem if you got any C's

ugh. are you kidding me? you have a 1480/1600....

the 75th percentile is a 1350ish.....

I have the same concern. Going to a rigorous private school my gpa is far below what it would be if I had stayed in my town's public school. I'm sure (and have been told) that admissions officers know what schools are harder and thus give you more credit because you come from a more difficult high school. I know when I talked to my regional director she instantly recognized my school's name. I dont like actually chancing people because I really have no authority on the subject but what I will say is that you shouldnt worry your gpa or class rank will hurt you.
