Hey guys, I’m applying to Columbia ED, but Penn is probably my second/third choice…what do you guys think?

I attend a private, Jewish Day School with a dual cirriculum (which means I take classes like Bible, Jewish History, Hebrew etc. in addition to all the normal ones)

I have taken the most rigorous secular courseload, but my I my courseload for the religious subjects is not as strong

GPA should be about 3.7 (unweighted) 4.35 (weighted)

Boards:
SAT I: 780 (V) 790 (M) - 1570
US History: 800
Math IC: 760
Writing: 720
AP US History: 5, AP Lit: 4 (my school doesn’t actually offer AP classes btw)

EC:
-M’AT (community service club) - restarted it and have been president for the last two years
-Grade Government - 4 yrs, Treasurer, Sec. of Community Service
-Student Council - 3 yrs, Grade Rep., Treasurer
-Mock Trial - 4 yrs, Student Coach
-Math Team - 4 yrs

-Habitat for Humanity - 2 yrs (since I was eligible, you have to be 16) - I am very involved in the organization (not the school club), and go out to build almost every sunday, and volunteered in their office over the summer.
-I worked at Eatzis over the summer 40 hrs/wk, and have continued to work this year 16 hrs/ wk

Over the summer I have also gone on various trips overseas to do work similar to what I do with Habitat for Humanity.

Awards:
Dean’s List
National Merit Semifinalist (probably will be a finalist - I got a 235)
Prudential Spirit of Community Awards - School Nominee (decision pending)

Also, I have double legacy to Penn

I would like to know about Penn, but info about Wash U, Columbia etc. would be extremely helpful as well. Also, I have some safety schools in mind, but am still looking for some suggestions, any advice?

Thank you so much for all your help.
