I realize my SAT and ACT scores are very low. How much will that hurt me considering the strengths of the rest of my application? Thank you!

I browsed threw this pretty quick at first and was wondering to myself is this kid seriously asking? Then i saw the last line and then relooked at your SAT scores. 1020. Thats reallly low. I mean your average and ec’s are really good. BUt im not sure how heavily they weigh SAT scores. But i’d say you have a pretty good chance.

Hello. I noticed that your application is average or above average basically except for SATs or ACT. I think you have a good chance of being accepted, in my opinion. I do not think that one part of an application (especially just one test) should hold you back. Not everyone is able to do their best on tests that last for hours straight. Like I said, they are one test and that score is looked at to determine your admission into college which is comparable to the importance of the high school transcript. I hope you get accepted!!!

When you hear from SUNY Buffalo, you and everyone else should go to

Remember, the SAT test is just one component of the application. A lot of students with high SAT’s end up doing well in college and some don’t. It shouldn’t be a make or break situation. With that being said, I would say you are in. Nothing’s certain but looking at your EC’s you seem like a very good PoliSci student in college. So good job.
