<p>Before you read this, I would like to say I was the typical H.S kids that did not give a damn till junior year, so don’t judge me and I probably am not deserving of a school like AU but I want to give it a shot.</p>

<p>I think AU is going to be a high match for you, probably because of that GPA. However, don’t give up hope. Would you be willing to study really hard and retake the SAT? A strong showing on the SAT (or the ACT) might help sure up your GPA.</p>
<p>The only thing I see as a problem is your GPA. If you still have senior year to pull it up…go for it. Take the Honors classes and get great grades. You might want to be careful about taking AP classes if they will pull your GPA down. My daughter had a great GPA, but her SAT’s were not as high as yours. She had lots of EC’s and is an athlete.</p>
<p>As others have said, the GPA and SATs need to be improved. Also, since you combined honors and APs into the same category I’m not sure which classes were which. I would definitely make sure you are taking at least a few APs next year and make sure that you are taking leadership positions in those extracurriculars that you already do.</p>
