I already turned in all of my applications, but I recently learned that the title of my AP Gov class has been changed to Economics CP for the second semester because the state of California requires seniors to take Econ. It is already March and I don’t think I should contact my school because I don’t want to seem unprofessional, but at the same time, I don’t want them thinking I said I was going to take AP Gov the whole year to make myself look better. It is literally the same class, but the school changed the name without really telling us. What should I do?
You or your GC should EMail all your schools to let them know.
If your GC doesn’t take care of it, then send an email to each school yourself. Briefly explain that the class is a continuation of the AP Gov but the name is different to reflect that you have fulfilled the CA state requirement to take economics.
You should send an email- I am certain most colleges will not care. You could ask your GC to send the email so it is clear it is a school change and you’re not dropping/editing your schedule.
