I was planning on taking Math 1D (Calculus), but there were only two slots available and both are full and clash with my schedule. Instead, I’m taking a harder math course, Math 2A (Differential Equations) to make up for it. I understand that I should update this in the TAU, but is there anything else I need to do? I remember UC Berkeley requiring a fax in previous years, do they still need that? Math 1D isn’t a prerequisite. I just planned on taking it for fun.
Also, is a change in Spring quarter planned courses common? This isn’t something I should worry about hurting my chances correct?
Thanks a lot!
Actually, I’m going to be changing Math 1D out for Computer Science 1A since I want to take programming classes at UC Berkeley.
The change is fine, but also email admissions at each UC you applied to.
@lindyk8 , thanks a lot! You’re always so helpful.
Thought I would update all of you, but I just called UC Berkeley and they said that I only need to make the change online in the TAU. If I do get an offer of admission, all I have to do is send my admissions officer an email or a message that there is a coursework change as a heads up when he or she receives my transcript.
Ah, good to know… I guess they really only care if it’s going to possibly impact admissions - a major req dropped, IGETC not complete, etc. although in theory, one could always deal with it after acceptance, I guess…
