I applied for fall 2015 transfer, and my spring quarter is about to start. My schedule won’t be finalized until beginning of April, and is definitely going to be different than from my TAU, except for my ONE last major pre-req (which is correctly stated on my TAU). My question is should I still update the UCs about it, or just wait and see which UCs I’m accepted to until letting them know my schedule has changed. Thing is, I won’t be sure until first week of April and only the NON-major pre-req courses have changed. Thanks!
I know that the TAU closes at the end of March anyways…
Even though at that late date, it’s pretty irrelevant, and doesn’t effect major prep, it is a significant change, so I would say send them all the update.
With admissions decisions coming within 2-3 weeks, I say just let it play out with what you’ve already sent. They rarely rescind people without significant reasons, but reject people for all kinds of reasons. Unless your new schedule would help you, (like if you’re taking advanced quantum physics), then just leave it.
@2016Candles That’s kind of what I was thinking, I replaced a humanities course with a different humanities course, and replaced 2 social science courses with 2 different social science courses and kept my last single math pre-req.
@lindyk8 If I was to send them an update, how would I do so? I applied to UCLA, UCD, and UCB. UCLA and UCD updates can be done through their portal but I can’t seem to find any way to update UCB for some reason.
accidentally double posted… (read above)
I think you should send them simply because the UCs are clear they want changes sent. Even though at this point I’m sure most decisions are made, it still is what they ask you do, so I would just do it. (Another person had a 1-unit PE class, B grade, he forgot to note and I said to just forget about that because I mean really, who cares? )
Here is from Berkeley website:
"You also must let UC Berkeley know about any changes to your courses or grades by emailing us with the following information: full name (UC application); UC application number; grade or course change and course name as it appears on your application.
NOTE: You must use the same email address as you listed in your submitted UC application. Email your request to: application@berkeley.edu"
Berkeley’s decisions are a month off, UCLA’s over three weeks. I’d send it.
On a semi-similar note, official winter quarter grades come out tomorrow night, do you guys think it would be useless at this point to submit them through the TAU even if they’re pretty good? 2 of the classes I took were major pre-reqs and I did well in both
I think email probably is best. I hope you did well!
Like an email through the school portal? and thank you
Yes. If you can’t find Berkeley’s it’s up above.
Also update TAU! I called UC Berkeley and they said that during March, just updating it online in the TAU is fine. I also sent them an email just in case.
