<p>Hey everyone I applied to Berkeley as a political economy major and really want to switch it to Environmental Economic Policy for the fall. I called a couple days ago and they said to fax my info and the reasons I want to switch to admissions. My ultimate dream would be to triple major in political science, economics, and environmental studies, though I know this is nearly impossible. I thought political economy mixed my interests the best but it comes no where near as good of a match as Environmental Economic Policy. I have more prereqs done for EEP and am very passionate about the subject. Does this seem like a compelling enough reason for them to consider a change? If any one has suggestions for compelling reasons to include that would be greatly appreciated!</p>
<p>Ive actually never heard of anyone being able to switch majors during the application process, but I know you can switch over once your accepted.</p>
<p>I faxed as well, I haven’t called them on it yet though. I don’t know if anyone will be able to answer my question in regards to switching at the school. </p>

<p>Yes I do. The number is 5106423175. Just to let you know, it takes like 40 minutes to an hour for them to pick up if you’re waiting to talk to a real person so get comfortable and be patient. What was your switch and what did you say in the message?</p>

<p>I really had no idea what to write in the explanation, so I wrote about a prereq snafoo, I feel stupid for saying that now but I had NO IDEA what to say. </p>

<p>i highly doubt u can switch business to econ since haas is a totally different school. other majors may be possible but for haas it’ll be more difficult</p>
<p>Anything is permitted but yes, logically you would think it’d be tougher. Guess we’ll see.</p>
