Is there any way to change the major in UC Berkeley application or is it too late??

I almost sure that admission to the major is seperate from admission to the school.

It depends on the major.

And in response to pepsi's question: just call them early on Monday and ask.

i tried to change my berk major, and i had a very legit excuse but they still rejected my proposal... their policy is to do so only before nov 30 (last day to turn in app), and i did that, but for som reason, the office didnt change it, so now im stuck with wat i applied as even tho i complied with their rules.

haha, doughboy, relax... i was just letting pepsicokevodka know what had happened to me. no need to be putting me down here, the point of this chat is to help others, and if your post is for anything other than that, thers no need for it. we arent here to make others look retarded.

Oh I totally agree about the trying to help others part. The point of my post was to help him out as I didn't want him to end up like you. What was the point of you're post to him? Just to tell him that you wanted to change you're major and followed the guidelines yet still was not able to? I'm telling him to not do what you did and not to take the first "No" as an answer.

the point of my post is that after nov 30, you cant change your major. Its berkeley's policy. he asked if it was too late... so i let him know. in order to support that, i gave him my account. i thought that was obvious.

What if you want to change your major within it's division, i.e. changing from American Studies to PEIS. Please don't respond unless you really know.

Most of these questions are best answered by directly calling the admissions office.

For selective majors like Economics you are not not even in the major until you finish one math class at Berkeley and keep a high GPA. So if you're doing something competitive, I don't think it would be hard to switch out of it because you're not really in it yet.
