my daughter thinks finals may have been extended an extra day because of the hurricane. Does anyone know if this is true?

have not heard anything from my daughter but I hope they don’t. the would bring finals into the next week and I want her home! :)

The story I received from my daughter is that classes were extended by one day but the finals schedule is staying the same.

I sure hope not, we’re leaving on vacation on Sunday night and that would be a problem. It’s bad enough his last final is Friday night 7 to 10, and they have to be out of the dorm by 10.

My son said that they are extending the first 2 final dates a day, but the last 2 days of finals will remain unchanged.

I copied and pasted the following from an e-mail my son forwarded to me, which was sent by the Office of the Provost concerning the revised finals schedule:

To this end, the Provost’s Office, in collaboration with the deans, the
Registrar, and Faculty Senate, have agreed to some minor adjustments in
the Fall 2012 calendar by adding a class day at the end of the
semester, moving Reading Day and the first day of final exams by one
day. The balance of the final exams schedule remains as scheduled.

Specifically,

-- Monday classes will be scheduled for Dec. 6.
– Reading day will be Dec. 7.
– Final exams that had been scheduled for Dec. 7 will now be held on
Saturday, Dec. 8, with Sunday the 9th available as an alternative date.

-- Final exams continue as scheduled through Dec. 14. That is, there is
no change to the final exam schedule for December 10-14.
– Grades are due Dec. 18.
– Faculty who would like additional class times scheduled on Nov. 10
or Dec. 1 may contact the Registrar for assistance.
