my son received a presidential scholarship from Temple, but went to different school in fall. he was unhappy and transfered to Temple. After transferring he was told he still had the Presidential scholarship. he was pleasantly surprised and met with someone to confirm. It was confirmed and after he paid his fees his balance was 0 in Feb. Then yesterday he gets an email that he is no longer eligible and has to pay the spring semester tuition by Mon. it is too late to apply for a loan. Can you believe this? Has anyone else experienced this?
Does he have evidence of the prior agreement, like emails or letters? I’d fight it…that’s just wrong.
the account statement in Feb. shows the scholarship on it and the March statement has it taken off
Oh wow, that is not right! I would fight it too. Can he contact the person who told him the scholarship would be honored? He is definitely owed an explanation. I feel the scholarship should be honored at least for this semester.
@bball0809055 - were you able to resolve this issue?
I’d be going to war over that. Good luck !
please keep us posted, that is unacceptable. do you have the account statement from February, make a hard copy and any other proof of his scholarship
