To those who got Blinn TEAM… what were your stats?
Class Rank:
SAT Reading:
SAT Math:
GPA:

sandrabui, I can’t believe you wouldn’t take UT Austin. That admittance is awesome!

What do you think it means for those of us who have yet to see any changes on AIS or howdy?

^ Most likely a rejection then.

sandrabui - You should really go to UH or UT. You could always transfer from there to A&M after a year…

Xcellerator and waitingstill - Well, UT Austin…they gave me NADA. So no money isn’t very appealing :/

And UH means I have to stay home with my parents…and it costs almost 10k just for the tuition. So if I do Blinn, it’ll be around the same price with tuition AND housing (meaning being away from home).

The tough choice for me is I have to spend some time at a Community College.

Idk ):

you should just go to UH for a year and go to A&M. Blinn Team isnt to bad though

If prestige isn’t a factor for you then by all means go to Blinn. I personally would hate going to a CC unless it was for summer classes.

laureneliz, Remember they said Blinn TEAM people can find out through all of May and maybe beginning of June. Hang in there! Did you apply for Galveston? If not do you have a second choice? Also I heard there is something else called the TAPP program (i’m not sure about the spelling) But I think it may only be available if you are in Texas. It is similar to Binn TEAM but without taking classes at TAMU. The person to contact for that is John Buchannan. His number is (979) 458-0950.

My daughter had a 3.3 GPA, 520 Math, 570 Critical Reading, 590 Writing. Lots of extracurricular activities. Met with the Dean of her College of choice, sent letters to Director of admissions, Dean of college. And stayed in contact with an admissions advisor that came to her school. Her school is a private school that doesn’t do rankings.

Jaguar10, my daughter had similar stats to hopefulaggiemom’s. 3.5 GPA 119/515 rank, 1080 SAT Math & reading, 24 ACT, lots of EC’s & volunteering, and lots of interest in A&M (whoopin’ weekend, visits to PSC, etc). SHe received &accepted Blinn team. good luck to you, hopefully they still have some more offers ro make.
