None of the emojis work for me. Nor can I hover over any to add my reaction to others. Any existing are in grey, and nothing happens. Using Windows/MSEdge if that matters?
What is the difference?? What is it?
So I’m not the only one this doesn’t work for—any ideas from the tech support folks?
I use light mode. It solves all of the “problems” I was having with this site. I only occasionally have an issue. Some folks complain that the font is too light. I don’t have an issue.
@CC_Jon maybe you can explain light mode.
@CC_Jon : Light mode does nothing for me. Long-time user, but still cannot use or add to emoji’s by others. Any advice?
@CC_Jon: Similarly, neither the light nor the discourse theme allow emoji reactions for me. To be complete, I can like posts, but hovering over the like button doesn’t provide emoji—see the picture I posted above. Restarting the browser and the OS does nothing, nor does disabling extensions.
(Firefox on Windows 11, both completely up to date.)
I’m going to try switching to Windows because I can’t replicate the problem with either Edge or Firefox on macOS.
Light mode is a simplified theme that removes some of the CC customizations. It’s useful for diagnosing problems and is available for users who prefer the simplified theme.
