I got accepted to Davis as an English major transfer. And my dream is to major in clinical nutrition. I don’t have any of the chemistry or bio courses completed but I do have everything else done. And so i really need to know if I can change majors and compete the entire chem sequence at davis and be accepeted to change majors and colleges. I wil have exactly 103.5 units units when i transfer. Help!

Kind of in the same boat here. Pretty clueless at the moment as well. That’s a total of like 6-8 chemistry classes alone though.

Yes, you can change your major after transfer. You can also complete the entire chem series at Davis–it’ll take you about 2 years, though (2ABC one year, and if required, the O-chem series another year). You have to wait one quarter before you change your major, though (that is, if you’re entering in fall, you have to wait until winter quarter to change your major).

That sounds great idc how long it takes i already calculated the units and ill be exactly at 225 more or less since all the chem sequence and the two bios calculate to exactly 30 units. I plan on taking the two summer sessions to finish two chem courses. And so forth. I love nutrition and this is what i want to do.

Good luck! You should be fine, just make sure to get your major change in ASAP, and make sure you’ll be able to pull it off getting the prereqs for the major change.
