Changing colleges

I want to know how to change colleges in UCSD. Im currently in ERC and Im hoping to change into Muir. The GEs in ERC are too much for me considering my major. I also don't have AP credit that would get me out of some GEs. I live off campus by changing colleges i will only be changing the classes that i have to take.

Prospective Students: The College System: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I switch to a different college?

A: Yes, after you complete the writing program and if you can demonstrate that switching to a different college will allow you to graduate with fewer academic quarters.

I hope that helps

Really doubt your chances of changing colleges, especially into muir. I hear we have 30+ muir students already living in revelle and marshall.

that's because of a housing shortage, though. if they really did do a poor job of sorting person X into a college (like my visarts suitemate into revelle; she transferred to marshall by spring quarter of freshman year), they'll listen to you.

hey guys, how about a chance to change college if you are a transfer student, i m ERC too, and ERC has MMW GE which is not fair for my engineering major imo

Well, if you chose ERC when you applied, I don't feel sorry for you. Should've done your homework.

If they chose it for you, I think you have to bring that up with someone from your current college.
