When I started the admission process, I used my personal email. My parents got involved, and now want me to change my email to the family one we all have access to. I have already registered for all my applications. Some were easy to change, but I cannot seem to find where I change my email on the Common App. The way I changed the others was they had a place where I can change my perliminary info (name, email, username in some cases) and sent me confirmation emails as well. However, no such thing exists on the Common App. Do I just change my email under where it says to put my email address or do I need to reregister? Also, I have registered for the Hopkins app and cannot change my email. I was wondering how to change that email (whether I should call them or not). I have also wondered, after I saw that Hopkins uses the Common App, if even though I registered for their application I can use the Common App for them too.

Why are your parents so involved? Be careful about that....I'd just use your personal addy and cc or forward the stuff to your parents.

The schools may question why you are using or changing your addy...and may not take it as your own work...they are familiar with over-involved parents.

My parents also want to use our family address because we pay for it. Mine is from work, and I may not be working there over the summer when emails may be comming from colleges. They just think it is better to use the perminant one we pay to keep to be safe.

We pay for an AOL address. I have heard AOL looses mail, but what can I do.

Doesn't AOL allow you several email addys?

Just create your own. Trust me, you be glad you did.

just use su mmat simple like gmail...
