Changing from College of Arts and Sciences to College of Engineering

I recently applied and was accepted to Penn State Main Campus. I received this acceptance back in early December. Originally when I applied, I was interested in political science, so I applied to that program/major. Now, I am feeling much more interested in engineering and physics, so my question is whether or not I could possibly switch from the College of Arts and Sciences to the College of Engineering before the start of my first semester. I’m not completely certain I would like to do this yet, but I’m interested in having it as an option. Thanks everyone!

Find out if it’s possible to switch later. You could then take engineering prerequisites in A&S and see how you like it.

“Students who want to change their major or college prior to New Student Orientation (NSO) are evaluated and, if appropriate, processed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (http://admissions.psu.edu).”

So contact the admissions office. If they don’t let you into the school of engineering, accept a switch to DUS. Being in DUS doesn’t change anything.
