<p>Although we recommend you contact each campus you applied to, it is doubtful that you would be able to change your major at this point. For the Davis Campus it is not possible, although if accepted you may petition to change your major after completing at least one quarter.</p>
<p>For UCSC, you can update your major at the admissions website.</p>
<p>For all the other UC's, as far as I know, you have to send them a copy of "University Of California Undergraduate Application Acknowledgment" paper, with your change of majors written on the sheet, to:</p>

<p>I applied to UCSC but is it really a good idea to change the major? Don't they say that it doesn't really matter because you declare your major later on?</p>
<p>I was wondering, how much does what major you put down affect your chances of getting in? Or do they not look at that unless it's a prestigious program (engineering for example)? Thanks</p>
