<p>I am a recently accepted high school senior. I was accepted into engineering with an area of interest in Aerospace engineering. Does this area of interest dictate the classes I will take, or do all first year engineers take intro courses and then decide if they want to pursue their area of interest?</p>

<p>What I am trying to get at is I would like to change my major from Aerospace engineering to Electrical Engineering. Could I do this before enrolling, or have I not really declared a major yet?</p>

<p>You haven’t actually declared your major at Purdue yet. Only thing that you have declared is that you would be entering the First Year Engineering Program. You will be taking pretty much the same classes as all of the FYE students.</p>

<p>They only ask your area of interest on the application for studies about how your perception of your intended major changes and stuff</p>
