Is it possible when I transfer to csu from a cc and change my major once I’m there? The money and time isn’t much of a bother for me. But is it possible to do as an upper division tranfer?
Probably depends on the campus and the major you are attempting to change into.
Changing into a more impacted major, or one which changing to will require you to stay for more semesters than your original major, is less likely to be approved.
If I get accepted as an art major, but want to change it to a business major once I’m there, is it a long shot of having this be approved? And about how long can you be at the school to make that decision, the first semester? for schools like csula, csh fullerton and csu domingez hills. Thanks!
http://www.calstatela.edu/registrar/major-specific-declaration-requirements describes CSULA’s requirements to change major. Note the expectation that you can complete the major within 144 units (which is 20% higher than the usual 120 units needed to graduate), so changing into a major without having taken sufficient prerequisites may not be allowed.
CSUFullerton and CSUDH business web pages do not list specific criteria for major-changers. Contact the departments directly with your question.
