<p>Can you still change your major if you are accepted, even if it is in a different department from your last major (in my case, computer science to neuroscience and behavior)?</p>
<p>Yup, you enter school with a "proposed" major which really doesn't mean anything. You can even change that somewhere in the portal (my.ucsc.edu) or just wait and declare your actual major in a year.</p>
