Changing Majors

How hard is it to change majors in the period from acceptance and the start of school? What is the process?

I was recently accepted for Fall 2010, but am giving some consideration to changing my major.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

It’s easy from what I remember. I think it took something like a few days or maybe a week to be reflected on my Degree Audit.

I can’t remember who I e-mailed though. I would suggest either e-mailing an UCFY advisor or e-mailing the registrar office asking to have your major changed. You should include your LSU ID with your message.

Riggio, I’m sure it’s easy since lsu doesn’t bind you to a major right away like some schools do.

Can I ask how long between the time you applied and the time you were accepted? My son’s app also applied and still hasn’t heard back.

The entire process took about two weeks. Have you send in his ACT/SAT scores and has his school sent in his transcript? Once they have everything, the process takes a couple of days.

I changed my major in person by going to the UCFY. If you’re not a student yet however, you should probably contact the office for admissions, since you’re only changing it on your application and not your student account, i think.

Actually, it finally came through today…thanks.
