What are the procedures/requirements/chances of changing from L&S to Samueli?

Call UCLA and find out; though it’s harder to change from L&S to HSSEAS

[Change of Major — UCLA Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs](http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/change-of-major)

I skimmed through the page and here’s the summary:

If

you’re incoming freshman:
In the first 2 quarters of your freshman year, finish at least 4 of these (2 Maths classes and 2 others) with minimum B or better to be competitive(I suppose you’d better aim at A’s):
MATH 31A, 31B, 32A, 32B, 33A, 33B, PHYSICS 1A, 1B, 1C and CHEM 20A

Else

You’re a second year:
Finish 3 required Maths and 3 others.

Then go to 6426 Boelter Hall, get a form, fill it out, and write a short personal statement about why you want to change to engineering. Submit it and wait.

I don’t think it’s very hard. I know a number of people who have switched from L&S to Engineering.
