I got into UD (regular admission). Is it possible to change to the honors program after a student got in?

it is definitely possible, i asked about it yesterday when i visited. You need a 3.0 gpa after one semester (it might even be a full year, i'm not completely sure) in 2 honors classes and 2 letters of recommendation from honors professors. But even if you're not in the actual honors college you can still take honors classes by calling the honors college and requesting to do so. The girl I spoke with said it's a pretty easy process to do that and that the honors college isn't about having more work, but looking at the course at a deeper level.

thank you (well explained) I'll work hard enough to switch to honors

Keep in mind that the non-Honors courses at UD are not a joke by any standard. The Honors college is great - but keep in mind that college-level work can be quite challenging, independent of how hard it is to gain acceptence to a university. That said, you'll know after your first semester if you can handle the Honors coursework.

even if you r not in honor program, you can still take some honor classes, you only have to ask for a permission slip in the honor department, there is no test requirement... I got the info from the open house on April 22nd, at least, that's what they told me, lol
