Here's my plan: I am coming to the USA this spring, starting out as an au pair (4 months). At fall I am going to a community college, studying there full time. So how am I going to do with the visas? Also, I have understood that you can't work at all during the first semester at college, but after that you can work 20 hrs/wk? Can you work anywhere, or just at campus? Is it possible to be an au pair again after one year? What about working online?
Hopefully someone can help out! thanks!

I am not too sure about the AU Pair deal, but working isnt that big a deal. I have been to the Monroe Community College and one sure can work in the first semester. The limits are 20 hrs/wk during class months and 40hrs/week during vacations. Off campus work, however, is allowed only after 1 year of being a full time student(atleast that what i have heard. I'm not too sure...sorry ! :p)
The main thing about working and studying is that the US doesnt want people coming in as students and then working instead. So obviously, changing visa types wont be a walk in the park. Although, i'm quite sure someone at AU Pair would be able to help out with the info.
