Chapman Fall 2013 Transfer

Yeah, just follow sukahjoy’s advice. I will say this, and that is the registrar’s office evaluated my transcript at a far quicker pace than the other two schools that accepted me.

And for some odd reason, they actually added classes today (two Spanish classes). That’s good.

… but they have still yet to transfer in seven credits worth of science classes that are listed on the approved transfer courses list for my college. The only thing I can think of is that I took honors courses, so the university adds an “H” to their course classification and it threw the computer at Chapman off.

Thank you guys for the help!

I want to update that folks at Chapman have been really trying to assist me with my transcript and Financial Aid situation within the past 24 hours, moving to a resolution that would make the university a lot more economically feasible for me and fianc

Hi Random one,

That is great news!!

Is there anyone his status still pending like me?

@khalidAA mine is! I’m so annoyed that they’re taking this long. I still have to check all the financial aid packages from different schools to decide on which one I’m transferring to and I’m in the middle of finals right now. I just wish they’d hurry up!

Yep it’s killing me knowing its my #1 school.

@heyheyhey1 I was surprised how fast my application was processed and acted on… I don’t think chapman receives that many transfer applicants , so it shouldn’t take much longer!

@smalone3d

I promised I’d tell you when something changed, and as of today my status changed to “Additional Documents Needed”. By the way I am a Television and Broadcast Journalism applicant in Dodge, I’m not sure which major you applied for in Dodge College.
Anyway, I checked to see what they wanted, and they are asking for my current math (statistics) grade…so since it is Friday evening, I can’t take action on this til Monday now…so my wait continues…any news from any other Dodge applicants yet?

@cfgarciapaz I hope they let us know by Monday. Chapman is my first choice but I’m afraid cuz my math grades are not that good and I heard that they asked many students to send their math grades. Time is really slow :(

@khalidAA My file says its complete. I had a problem with my transcript because my school has covered grades first semester but the transfer coordinator told me I’d hear back in two weeks after that. Well that was almost three weeks ago. I have to make a decision on another school I really want to go to but it’s all up to the financial aid I’m offered by Chapman. This is so stressful

@cfgarciapaz I have a feeling that by Tuesday we’ll hear some good news. Let me know if you have anything new.

@melraecan thanks for the update! I’m applying to the animation major and I haven’t heard anything yet. My status is still decision pending as of 3/20/13. I’d like to hear just about anything at this point.

I found that my webadvisor login info gives me access to the Dodge site and even gives me the ability to activate my chapman email. Think this means anything??

Decision Reached today…I’m a bit nervous

They just requested me to send in my current math grade. Anybody else get this?

@melraecan good luck!! let us know what happens :)

edit: I saw they requested a bunch of people for the math grade. How did you guys go about sending that in? All I have is a semi-recent grade printout showing I have an A in the class.

Still PENDING … I hope they dont ask for my math grade.

Is there anyone in the Business college and his status still pending ?

Hi Smalone3d,

It is great you are getting an A in the math class! On the Chapman U admissions site they state:

“Send official college transcripts in the envelope sealed by the college records office or have them sent electronically by your institution’s records office. “

So I would talk to your instructor and your college’s records office and see what they suggest to get it done now either in an envelope sealed by the college records office or have it sent electronically. I would get this present math grade to Chapman’s admission office ASAP if I were you; whatever it takes. Good luck!

Found out today that Chapman is going to transfer in 70 of my credits. That’s a world of difference from 30. I will have fulfilled all of my GE requirements except one. Now just waiting on a Financial Aid package to discuss a decision with my fianc

@sukahjoy thanks for the help! I’ve emailed them a grade printout for now and they said to send them an official transcript when the final grades are posted.

@randomnewguy that’s great news! now you just need to hear from USC yeah? :P

@melraecan I’ve heard from previous threads that if you can see your financial aid reward after it says decision mailed, you’re in. But I think it might take a few days to show up. Keep us updated!
