@cutie: first, Webadvisor will show a status change to “Decision Mailed”, then the package/letter is prepared (could take a few days), and then package/letter is sent via regular mail. Hope this helps!

My still says “File complete, decision pending.” I’m going crazy.

Okay finally my web portal changed to “Decision Mailed”
AHHH going crazy!

Good luck, post your stats and major please.

Everyone do this in future postings, please and thank you.

As I’m waiting for a result my stats are…
Major: Creative Producing
GPA: 4.0
SAT: 1850
E.C’s: Many E.C’s including 100+ comm service, Exec. Producer for school tv station, Leadership Council Director, Dance Commision, Link Crew, Television Internships, Steady jobs, 10+ theater productions…
We will see…hoping for a scholarship so I can actually go if I get in

Just clearing up some earlier posts, but Webadvisor no longer shows “Admission Accepted” as a status. It changes to “Decision Mailed” and you will have to wait until you receive the letter to find out for sure.

This was the case for the Early Decision applicants. I would imagine that it would be the same for RD applicants, but please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

My daughter just received her Chapman acceptance package today, as a Dance major. They gave her a Dean’s scholarship as well. She hasn’t made a decision regarding which school to attend yet-- so many choices!

Congratulations to your daughter, hamster2!

Hamster2,
That is exciting news! Congratulations to you and your daughter! Chapman has an excellent Dance program. Check out their recent news article. The Chapman Dance team won first place at nationals. Best of luck to your daughter!

I was deferred EA, and I’m waiting to hear back! Seems like a lot of kids around where I live (California SF Bay Area) are still waiting as well. Only 1/8 kids I know has received a decision thus far for regular/deferred. Hopefully we’ll all know soon! Best of luck to everyone!

^Yeah I’m a Bay Area kid still waiting, too. DYING.
I’m tempted to call the office of admission although I’m sure they’re going to tell me I just have to wait it out until the end of the month.
I WANT TO KNOW NOW. I guess at most it will be 9 days - assuming they don’t make us wait until April even though they said they would tell us in March :/

Notification Timeline 2011 - Update
Hello readers!

We wanted to let you know that with an approximate 30% increase in applications (for the 2nd year in a row) we are FLOODED with applications. Some of you have noticed that even though it is past March 15th, you don’t have your final decision yet. Fortunately, many of you do have your final decision as of or before March 15th.

A little while back, we wrote this blog post about our notification timeline:

The information in that post is still very accurate, but it’s looking like more students will hear from us between March 15th and the first week of April. Our counselors are working tirelessly to read and evaluate all of the files including many nights and weekends. Thanks so much for your patience while we handle this increase in applications.

Best wishes!
