Charms worked exactly the way it should have for me.

yea, i’ve found two. one of them seems really cool and him and me get along great. the other one i haven’t talked to as much – but apparently this kid is a genius from what i’ve read about him (he gave me his name and email first message, lmao). so yea. i don’t know.

like the cool guy i think i might have more fun with, but i don’t want to underestimate the other dude – but in his college experience he put “study,” not the “study priority with socialization” or whatever which a lot of people (like me) put. whatever. we’ll see.

congrats on your success, chasi. haha. good stuff.

If the other guy just put “study” I’d start having second thoughts about him-unless you’re ok with it. I’m not the most social guy-but I at least make an effort you know? I think it’d suck to be roomed with a dude that was in the room all the time. Anyways I’ve messaged a few people already and 4-5 seem pretty cool but how long do we need to keep this going? We’re running out of things to talk about, but I don’t want to pop the question (? I know it sounds weird) too soon.

as part of a little wondering, i decided to look for people using one search criteria: do you smoke? yes, regularly. only four guys popped up. lol. luckily, i don’t smoke.

yea, i cut the “study” guy. and i also “popped the question” to “the one.”

my palms were sweaty. i was nervous, shaking. double-minded at best. i didn’t know how to word it. should i say something before i ask? should i just ask? i didn’t know how to do it. all of a sudden i was at a loss of words. but i held myself together, got down on one knee, looked into the eyes of my laptop and sent the invite.

this better work out. haha.

ya. when do you guys think its too early to ask? how many messages did you exchange with the person before asking, prophet?

we exchanged a total of 14 messages. but they were like damn paragraphs so i don’t know about the length of the rest of your guys’s. but yea i mean, when it seems like it’s feeling awkward to think about other things to talk about it, it’s time.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit anxious now to hear the resolution of your drama, prophet. I’m still talking with about 5-6 people. I think I offended some dude from Idaho when I said “Idaho? Youdaho!” I don’t think he appreciated the joke.

ya prophet, tell us how it went. if yours went well, i might just go ahead and ask already. i’m down to about 3 people now because conversation slowly died with others.

lmao. youdaho.

fellas – and ladies – i got my roommate. he’s a chill dude, no doubt and i think we’ll be straight. i was a little nervous he hadn’t responded and i was about to invite someone else – the “study” guy – but then he hit me back and we’re cool.

good stuff. good luck, all.

CHARMS… is strange. Facebook is better, IMO.

but i heard really good things about CHARMS. the one junior I know that goes to georgetown said that it ends up working miraculously well for most people.

i sure do hope so. in essence, i think really the only difference between charms and fbook is that in charms you can’t see what the person looks like. other than that, when you look at it simply, they’re the same thing.

but i agree. charms also results in some awkward moments.

I think CHARMS is good in that it has your living preferences, which you probably wouldn’t ask over Facebook; at the same time, I like Facebook because I can see what someone’s personality is like (or at least how they portray themselves to be). I talked to people on CHARMS but now I’m facebook friends with those whom I had the most in common.

It’s nice to see who is friends with who on Facebook… CHARMS is so “numbers based,” if you know what I mean. I’ve heard it works well, so fingers crossed for everyone…

well?

how’d it end up for ya’ll?
