Cheap classes?

I’m looking for online classes that are cheap (no more than $150) and that have the guidance of a teacher. I found the free ones, but there are not tutors. by the way, I’m a high school student, so I really just want dual credit or some early college stuff.

Try Clovis”&gt;http://www.clovis.edu/ClovisOnline/index.asp]Clovis</a> Community College<a href=“NM”>/url</a>. 6 semester hours (two-3 semester hour classes) for out-of-state residents costs $211. That comes out to a little over $35/semester hour, fees included.

Clovis Community College is regionally accredited.

good for you!! have you looked at your local community college??

LSU Indy Studies has University classes at $249.00 usd a pop. They are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

BYU has Indy Studies also, but they are almost $500.00 usd a class.

Dang, that Clovis CC is cheap, man! They are well over one hundred dollars cheaper than the CC over where I live in Tennessee. Good grief.

Are you looking to earn college credit or do you just want to learn because many schools are now offering their course materials for free online but you don’t get credit for the classes

Let me just say that I just registered at Clovis Community Collage and am thrilled to be taking 6 credits of online classes for $222 dollars. (They even offer a payment plan.) BTW I am in New Jersey where my local community college is $99 dollars a credit plus $25 registration and for internet classes there is an extra $50 dollars per semester tech fee. Thank you for the Clovis Community College link!!! -Jonathan

The link above was broken so I just went to [Your</a> College Search Solution: Clovis Community College, Clovis, New Mexico](<a href=“http://www.clovis.edu%5DYour”>http://www.clovis.edu) directly. I did have to call the admissions office but it took about 3 mins for me to be good to go.

Jon, sorry about the bad link. I’m glad to hear you registered at Clovis CC, and the process went so smoothly.

Please post back about your experiences. Clovis seems like a great deal if taking two classes per semester. Awesome tuition. By the way, Hank Baskett, WR for the Philadelphia Eagles, teaches a sociology class there this semester. He’s originally from the Clovis, NM area.

I believe a student can earn an AAS in Criminal Justice completely online through Clovis, although it might take a while if an out-of-state resident would like to take advantage of the low tuition rates.

Have you looked in to your own local community college? In-state tuition is probably not more than $50/per credit hour. That would be your best choice as far as cost. I am enrolled at my local community college and a business major and all of my courses are offered online so that’s how I will get through the whole program - online! I love it. I pay $45 per credit hour and usually take 9-12 credit hours per semester.

I’m looking for the same for my brother. He is graduating from a University of California School. They will let him graduate but he needs a 3 unit course from a university (not a junior college) to do it.

We don’t have more than a couple hundred dollars. Does anyone know of anywhere he can take an accredited class for that cheap?

im looking for summer online courses at any community college for less than $200

Try the University of Maryland University College. It is derived nominatively from the University of Maryland system, so you don’t have to worry about accreditation or having your degree respected by an employer. It boasts the same worldclass faculty as the University of Maryland - College Park but because of the lower cost of attendance is much more affordable than an on-campus residential college or even a community college (CC for short). The rate as of 2007 was $50.00/credit hour (essentially $50.00 per class) but it might have increased to about $75.00/class due to recent budget cuts and administrative reassessments.

You may want to take a look at [LSU</a> Independent and Distance Learning](<a href=“http://is.lsu.edu/]LSU”>http://is.lsu.edu/)

It costs around $262 for a 3-credit course, but I’m not sure how much instruction is offered.

Anyone know where I can take a course not too expensive maybe less than $300, strickly online?

The University of Maryland University College seems pretty solid, but it’s too expensive!!
$500/credit for OOS, is this normal? Say I want to take 2 classes over summer each being 3 credit, then it would be $3000 not including fees…
Any other options?

I am taking 2 classes through the University of Phoenix starting on Tuesday. When they are finished I am taking 1 additional class. The 2 classes are required classes that I need to finish some certifications but they are not expensive. The classes are Arizona Constitution and U.s. Constitution. They cost me $170 each and are 1 credit. There is a one time fee of 40 dollars and the books of course are about normal but they were not too bad. The other class is 3 credits and it cost $510. Same price as the others. For graduate credit this is really not bad at all. Dont know what you are looking for so I hope it helps. We have a teacher here that took some classes that he said were cheap so I will find out where they were at as well and I believe they were online as well. Good Luck, Pat

I’m actually taking a few online classes for a really good price at one of the [online</a> Christian colleges]( <a href=“http://www.luonline.com%5Donline”>http://www.luonline.com). It’s going great for me, and all the resource’s I need are right at my fingertips. I’d seriously check it out if I were you, honestly check it out it couldn’t hurt to have a look and see if you’d like it or not.

where can you get free accredited classes?

So this thread was a long time ago, and was wondering if anyone else had anymore information about cheaper online schools to go to… As of now im going to Barton County Community College BARTONline[/url</a>] I pay 130$ per credit hour, and i dont live in that state… I dont think thats bad at all, but they dont have the program i want to major in, Cyber Crime… I was just wondering if any one knows of a good cheap school?!!

I was about to register for classes in Bartononline. I was wondering if how you would rate them for the instructions provided in that price?

Thanks

I want an online university or college degree which does not cost more than $50 for my brother in Ghana. Any help here?
