cheapest and good food places on/near campus?

someplace where there are actual waiters/waitresses...and possibly of different the employees are of different races?

help! know any good places? it doesn't have to be incredibly fancy...and not too expensive either??

please...thanks :)

Your thread description has nothing to do with its contents.

Anyways, TC Garden at North Asian Ghetto has good service and excellent prices. Most dishes are $4 or under and nothing goes over $6. Table service but no tip required. Camille's is also good, but their prices are slightly higher.

I second this. I got free tea, free soup, and a rice dish for $3.80. Including tax. Awesome.

also, are there lots of people who go?

it's part of my sociology assignment...i need to observe power relations between waiters/ waitresses and customers.

help!

what about Smart Alec's? i just want a lot of interaction between the customers and the waiters?

smart alecs doesn't have any table service. best bet is down in elmwood. take the 51 down to ashby. la mediterreane is small and cheap for that.

Uhh, I don't see the difference between La Med's and any other place. Basically, the people who work there take your order, and give you food. They don't stand there and make small chat with you. There's not a lot of relations between waiters and customers at most restaurants.

the place above kimchi garden probably has table service..god, everything's being replaced now. it used to be shanghai restaurant but i dont know what it's called now

I had good interaction with the waiters at Raleigh's (cool place) but then they were guys and I am, well, me! Go outside in the back garden, weather permitting.
